Each year on March 2nd across the United States we celebrate Read Across America Day in classrooms, libraries and homes which serves as a kickoff for National Reading Month.  In the wonderful community of Fort Thomas we are blessed with a strong commitment and practice of lifelong learning through literacy. As an effort to highlight and promote Fort Thomas and our citizens dedication to reading, I propose we dedicate March 2nd as “Fort Thomas Reads” day. On this day citizens from businesses, libraries, classrooms, homes and all points in Fort Thomas can share their love of reading through social media platforms with the hashtag #FTREADS. This celebration of literacy will feature the spirit of a community that shares a pursuit of knowledge and intellectual growth.
